Hi all. On 31 October my CIC account was updated and my application moved to IP2/we are processing your background check. And then today on 2nd November I got another update in my CIC account but this time nothing has changed. My AOR is July 7th.

Has this sort of thing happened to any of you?

That’s the “ghost update” that everyone refers to! That’s good news... in the past a ghost update is known to be followed up with the PPR email! Keep your fingers crossed!

I have been in IP2 since 13th August and no update after that.

You’re not alone! I have a similar timeline ... aor july 20 and have been in ip2 since August sometime... fsw inland ... Nationalilty :USA

This is really cool , at least we now know pprs are not coming only for US residents as their applications are processed really faster.Congratulations & best of luck

Not Necessarily true, I am US resident and stuck at IP1, AOR is 7/25 and not moving any faster.
Some do, some do not.

I am also don't know what exactly his role..However, I also saw people email him to get to know the status of their applications...Seems by reading their comments, he is replying to each and everyone. Found his email address from another thread...

Hi, I filed my PR application on 28th July, 2018 from India and received the AOR on 31st July 2018. Then by 21 August 2018 I got the status update that "Medicals Passed". Then on no status update or change. BGC not yet started. Any idea by when I will receive any update on my status? eagerly waiting for over the past 3 months.. sometimes desperate.

Some July applications have started to see progress recently. Don't worry a lot of people are sailing in the same boat. Hopefully, you should see some progress by November end if not earlier.

Also, have you tried ordering gcms notes? If not, I'd suggest that you do that. You'll know exactly what the progress on your application has been.

I'd say anything from 1 to 3 months, it's hard to tell

Hi, my aor was 5th july and i applied with 2dependents and also claimed points for relatives in Canada.. will this delay my application coz I'm still stuck in ip1
