Hey @annevn8 Thanks for your wishes. Oct 25 was the date when i received an email and a message in my online account about status update. I never use to check my profile on regular basis but yes once in a fortnight. Before Oct 25, my BG status was "Your BG check has not started and ....". Post update on Oct 25, it changed to "Your BG check is in process.....".
So i guess, October 25 was the day when my security was initiated.
My best wishes to you. Hope you receive your Golden mail soon.

Hi..just got off from a call with an agent. She said by SS is in progress (had earlier called on Nov. 27 and they said the same). But this time they said that my file is in Nova Scotia though earlier it was in Ottawa. The agent also told that the file is yet to be approved. Not sure what to do next.. Should I order GCMS notes as it's under SS for close to 1.5 month...? @tobs@cansha
Please let me know which is the best forum for posting a pointed question on NOC & Foreign Credentials Recognition.
Thanks and Regards,
PS: I had wanted to know if NOC 2173 (Software Engineer) is regulated and needed a License/Membership in Canada. Though CICIC says that NOC 2173 is regulated, I don't see any job posting in Job-bank that suggests so. Some suggest that only the use of 'Professional Engineer' title will require license/membership with appropriate Engineers' group, but I am not sure what is true.
