How long it take for BGC to be completed
Application received May 19 . 2017
We started processing your application. On July 26. 2017
When I call to CIC the agent said they do BGC proces.
I don.t know what to do any one knows please
This is probably one of the most frustrating situations anyone can find themselves into. Its your security clearance which they are awaiting for. You can request the status of the security check by CSIS by filing an access to information request under privacy act. They should get back to you in 2 months and tell you all they can about it. The only catch being, that it is a paper application and a pain in the Ass to fill. Just plain annoying but I would suggest you do that and also request your GCMS notes from CIC under privacy act. Both requests should not cost you a dime and I hope it gives you an insight into what is going on with your file.
The impossible happened today- I received my invitation (through email) for my oath. It will be on April 11th in the Scarborough office. I have just gotten to the point of "I really don't care how many more years this will take"! I was in disbelief when I saw the email.

It is no longer possible to get information about the status of a clearance from CSIS.
They will respond to queries made under the privacy act (though note that there is much CSIS is not obligated to release), but they will not share information about the clearance process.
