Hi everyone, I after following the forum since July i have come around to create an account as I need advise from my fellow applicants.

Here is my timeline.

Listed as sk2016 in the July spreadsheet.
Office: Hamilton
Application Delivered Jul 27, 2016
AOR: Aug 11, 2016 (on eCAS)
In Process: Aug 30, 2016 (on eCAS)
Test: Oct 24, 2016 (not on eCAS) - Passed 19/20

My application has been in process ever since with no updates online, even for the test.

At my interview I was informed that I should recieve my oath invite for the end of Nov or early Dec 2016. i have not received anything from CIC since then. No decision made either. No document request either.

I have been calling the 1-888 number about once every 2 weeks and get all different response.

Today, Jan 25th 2017, I was finally told that there is still 2 background checks yet to be completed that holding up the next steps.

My PR cards expires in the next few months, would I need to renew this while I have an active Citizenship application.

Any advise would be appreciated on my application and PR status.

if you wanna stay in canada then expired PR.. is not a problem
but if you have a plan to travel.. then u need it
