Thanks bib003! No, they do not require proof of funds for CEC applicants. I believe that requirement is for Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) class.

No, please do not U-turn *before* the US border. You have to cross the US border - either flagpole or enter the States, and then take a U-turn towards Canada. Many applicants were refused landing because they U-turned before the US border.

2 how long it take for them to send back passport.

No, keep the work permit with you. Send your passport only.
To get the passport back takes usualy 5-21 days.

any idea how long it takes to show that cic received medical reports because when i called my medical clinic they said they sent the reports to cic on the 31st of march , but its not showing on ecas , any feed back guys ..

ECAS is not reliable now a days. My medicals are uploaded on Mar 10th, Still ECAS is not updated

It seems PPRs are slowed down in last 2 weeks.

My medical results were uploaded on March 17th and CIC has confirmed that they have reccived my results and they were under review by the medical department.

There is no Update till now either in ECAS or any email.

Is there anybody in similar situation?

Just received my passports stamped with visa and CPR Document.

my timeline

app received : july 25

AOR : SEP 24

MEDICAL REQUEST : MARCH 4

MEDICALS UPLOADED :MARCH 15

PPR : MARCH 24

VISA ISSUED : March 31

Seems like same here...medicals were completed on March 10th...no updates in eCAS or anything else from either the doctor or CIC.
