Hello movie, I just added your details to the July 2013 CEC spreadsheet. Feel free to add any additional details.

Thanks!
Once the AOR has been received, do you guys recommend waiting for CIO/visa office to guide the process or is there something a candidate can do in the meanwhile to speed up the process?
Question came up as I was wondering whether I have to wait for them to ask for a Police Clearence Certificate or whether I can go ahead and apply for one. Any other papers which may take time and are not necessarily prompted by the officials that I can take action on right now?

Hello Loves,
Once the AOR is received, there is nothing more that needs to be done, I would just keep an eye on the ecas.
As far as your PCC is concerned, if you have not sent it, already, with your application, I suggest to NOT wait for the CIC to ask for it, you might as well apply for it now and send it out with your file number to the CIC office. Waiting for the CIC officer to ask you for it and then you applying for it and then sending it will just delay everything.
Just apply for it now, and irrespective of the CIC asking you for it, send it out once you have received it.
Just to touch base on everyone who have received their AORs, do your ecas status still show "Application Received" or has that changed to something else.
Got my AOR today, My application reached CIO on July 09th. All the best to others.
I have a question regarding my employment letter.
When I applied my PR, my employer didn't provide the employment letter, so I have provided a reference letter from my manager.
however my employer has issued employment letter recently. Please suggest me how can I add this letter to my case?
it would better to send employment letter if you have it, since they are asking for copies , i guess you can scan and email to them , mention your situation to them in the email ..

just give a little time (about 5 days) and it will show "application received", once you are there, there is a link that says understanding your ecas status or something like that. Interesting to see that application received is the first of 3 parts of "application in process", so technically it will stay like that all the way long until you are asked for mr or pcc, so don't worry if it takes a long time to change from received to "in process"
So whoever is so excited to see "application received" after getting AOR, later will hate with the same status for a long 5-8 months time untill it gets changed.

...or more...I know someone who told me his ecas went from"application received" directly to decision made after 14 months... The point is enjoy the AOR even when ecas is not updated
