some updates to what i have said in the past few days:
Medical was $280 (CAD) -> i truly though they said $230 ($258 with taxes) when i called... i felt kinda screwed, but what can i do. $180 for medical + blood + urine and $100 for the x-ray
in Burnaby, BC
some of you have sent proof of payment of MR, however i don't see that necessary as it is not mentioned to do so anywhere. In addition, in clinic where i have my medical done, i have been given a receipt if CIC request a proof of some sort that medical was indeed done.
Did someone get a request from CIC to sent them receipt from medical exam?
well, if someone have a link or an argument that proof of payment for MR needs to be sent, i am thanking you in advance for the info.
If this is of any help. My application was received at CIC on July 4th, one day before yours, and JUST TODAY March 4th I have received the medical request...so, there is still hope. My guess is that we got the busiest (or laziest) CIC officer among July applicants.
I believe that the only requirement that your passport should be valid at the moment of landing, i.e. PR (single entry) visa will be valid upon passport validity period ends of 1 year after medicals whichever comes first.
Hey Sam 1985 thats a good sign and good news. Lately the trend has been getting MR's right after Pc request Im also a July 31 applicant good news for me too
