I was going through the forum and came to know that emedicals is a faster way to do medicals. My question is how can i do emedicals to make my processing faster?

emedicals wont make your processing faster... If you want to do emedicals, ask the MD if they do emedicals or paper version. At this point, I don't think it will make a huge difference processing wise. It's been discussed a lot - do a search on the forums.

Hi jsm0085, i was going through the forum and saw one of the guy did his emedicals and got passport request within a week, so i was curious if this new system makes things faster

Very right. emedicals definitely will fasten up the process as there is no more a physical dispatch of medical reports by the physician to CIC (which ate up 3-4 weeks of processing time earlier). The physician creates a eMedical file which is sent to CIC in an electronic form and saves lot of time. Get in touch with the nearest CIC panel physician in your location and ask for eMedicals. ALL THE BEST!

Andy, somehow I feel that the processing atleast till sending medicals has slowed down. I have seen March and april applicant getting medicals in 6 months but june applicants are getting medicals in 9 months..

You are right yahoo7. I have been following this forum for a long time now. The pace of processing has really slowed down now. We can just hope that it improves somehow. Jan 2013 applicants... not before Aug / Sep 2013.

I think this might be because of couple of reasons:

1. Closure of some offices which increased the burden on Ottawa office..
2. Ottawa starts to do more things like issuing visitor visa, COPR etc...

Exactly. Sadly for us Ottawa is no longer a "pilot project". Let's just hope it doesn't slow things down anymore :(
