Originally sent the application on January 8th, but it was returned on Jan 21 because they rejected my proof of language, even though it was a letter from one of the best universities of Canada confirming I was a registered student. Anyway, I re-applied with more proof (transcript) on Jan 21 and it's been accepted now. AOR arrived this morning.

One question, what do I need to do to sign up for the tracker? There was nothing mentioned in the AOR letter or email.

Did you use immigration consultant in the past? If yes, it's going to them.

Do we know if it's possible to fix this another way? The consultant I used no longer works at the company so the verification email is going to a deactivated email. I've tried calling IRCC but it always says they're busy and hangs up! I cant seem to get through to anyone

Are you talking about your AOR? Still waiting for mine and it might send it to the consultant if it’s the case

Till IRCC fixes the issue there is no other way. Most you can do is raise a technical webform issue and ask them to update the deactivated email to yours. Explain it in detail in your webform request.

If you have received your AOR letter in the email, it has this link to check the status of the application - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html
It's a generic tool and it asks you questions about what you have applied for. Select relevant options from the dropdown and it will give you an option to register if you don't have an account.

Or you can directly go to https://tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/ to register for the tracker account. You will reach to this same link if you go through the generic tool mentioned above.

Fill in UCI and Application number, if it finds your application in the system - you will get a verification code in your email and you'll have to set a new password. That's it! You can now login using your UCI and password.

Till yesterday, I was getting this error while trying to register -

Incorrect or invalid information. Review and make sure it matches the information submitted on the Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] form or the Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual [IMM 5475] form. If you can’t create an account, it may be because your client’s application is not in our system yet.

So it takes some time for ones application details to propagate to this system and then it lets you create an account. It took around 48+ hours for me after I received the AOR.

I was asked to provide an additional document for my application which I did using the webform a week ago. Does anyone know how they usually take to review and respond to such things? The application tracker states they're still waiting on me.

we have the exact same timeline.

i was able to link my application to tracker, today! thanks for your useful post, I had the exact same error msg, although like you, I sent the application on January 20th and got the AOR on 3rd Feb it wasn’t until this morning that I was able to create my tracker account!

Select few get asked for fingerprint. You cannot do it on your own without the request letter from IRCC.
