Quick update : I have called IRCC on Monday again to check if anything changed, I have mentioned to the agent that as per GCMS Fingerprints were required since Feb 20th and i have never received any request. The agent was kind enough to post a message to the officer to check if FP were indeed required, so i have now received a FP ( email) request yesterday. Though the tracker doesn't show anything.
Hope that helps someone has been waiting since Jan\Feb with no progress.

Question to the group :
1) Did the FP request get updated on the tracker ? I have received email yesterday morning and its not updated yet on tracker.
2) how long did it take for you to get your BG complete, from FP submission ?

Selections - 1 ( English)- 1 ( select 1 and enter UCI) - 1 ( Confirm the UCI) - 3 ( Out of 3 options) - 4 ( Out of 5 )- 0 ( to speak to an agent) ....Majority of the times you will hear all the agents are busy. Try calling first thing in the morning or between 3.30-4 PM.

Thanks for providing the update, I also received the email last morning so I believe it must be that IRCC is batching applications, It is not yet updated in the tracker for me but I guess the update can be delayed by 2 days so hopefully tomorrow. Vancouver used to take 2-3 weeks based on what I have been reading on various forums but I believe you must have received the email from Sydney. There is no data on that office from what I could see in various forums I have been following. Lets hope for the best and hope its smooth from here on out

Yep, same ghost update for me as well on June 28th. RCMP - 1-833-541-3089, have your DCN number ready to check the status. They can only tell if RCMP received your FP and sent to IRCC, but no tracking on mail to IRCC. Seems it will take ~10 days for the mail to reach IRCC.

This is my last update:

Virtual Citizenship oath on June 6.
Received a certificate of citizenship on June 13
Applied for a new passport on June 18.
Picked up the passport on July 3

Finally, my immigration journey is completed. All the best everyone!

Nothing changed in the tracker except a ghost update on June 28. It usually takes a month for the background to be completed on the tracker after the fingerprints.
