January 2023 - Citizenship Applications

I submitted a paper-based application during the first week of January and have not received AOR until now. Despite several attempts to contact the IRRC office, I have not been unable to reach them.

I have also checked the online portal using my UCI number, but no information comes up which suggests that my information is not in their system.

I am concerned that my application package may be lost, or that they may have rejected the application and sent the package back to me, but I did not receive it. Are there any other January applicants who have not received their AOR yet? Any suggestions what wouldbe the next step?

I didn't get AOR email either. search your inbox for for any emails received from client-update-mise-a-jour@cic.gc.ca, (or) check application status using https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do (Or) use IRCC Web form to get the info https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx. (Or) check with your post office if any of your return packages are held. If none of them worked, call IRCC to find out if your payment is processed.

Nothing has changed yet, but we all know GUs are a good sign

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on January 16, 2023.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on March 6, 2023.
3. We started processing your application on April 13, 2023.

I got inprogress in ecas no updates on tracker

I got my AOR March 8th so I’m hoping for an update in the next few days too!

I got a ghost update today. Nothing changed but the date updated field in the online tracker changed to April 10th. no email.

ECAS says "We started processing your application on April 8 "
What could this mean?

I see some November 2022 apps have received their oath invitation already also some December 2022 apps got LPP green too, that's a hope for us may be by next month we should see big movement unless if the current strike situation last long ( we hope and pray will not ).

Thanks for the update. Did you b/g get completed the next day after the GU? Usually, the b/g complete is followed by the invitation to the 'Test'.. so watch out for that!

I don't think so, usually FP request comes before b/g is complete. You won't be asked anymore.
