Same thing for me... in progress status for background verification, although eligibility still hasn't started.
Good to know that things are moving even slightly!

I think its more a "technical" things since everybody even the march Aor got it

Today i noticed that IRCC tracker shows background verification is 'in progress' .
No changes in CIC account.

For me and most of the people status changed to In progress.It Could be software glitch as IRCC employees are in Strike

Jan 26 | Acknowledgement of Receipt

Feb 06 | Medical exam passed and Biometrics completed

Apr 19 | Background verification in progress (as per the Application Status Tracker)

Eligibility hasn’t started yet

Patiently waiting and looking forward to hearing great news from all of us soon!
