Just received another update for oath on 13th September. Will it be in person or virtual? I haven’t received any email yet.
Me too! Got the update for Oath on 13th September. No email yet.
So jealous of you guys. I cannot wait to hear my updates. Test completed in November 2022 and waiting.

Same here. Oath scheduled on sep 13th in tracker but no email yet
I also got oath scheduled on Sep 13 and no email yet. How long before the oath date that we get an official email invitation? And I’m currently outside of Canada. Should I book my ticket to come back now or wait for the email invitation and then book to be sure?
Any idea if one can take it outside Canada?
As part oath, you have to cut the PR card. So you have to manage to get your Canadian passport or travel document from where you are to come back in Canada.

I think we need to book tickets. The email can even come less than a week away from the oath.

Actually I cannot take oath outside. Will have to travel for few days.
hi guys, I’ll be back to Canada for a week for my oath but I don’t think I can get the certificate before I leave. Can my friend receive the certificate for me? Does it need to be signed and received by myself? How long does it usually take from oath to certificate? Thank you!

You should be able to get the e-certificate in 2-5 business days. The paper certificate takes 4-5 weeks.
Does everyone get the option to choose their citizenship certificate? Since I need to fly immediately out of Canada post the Oath, I’d prefer the e-certificate.

It depends on the processing office oath ceremony. The one I attended was only e-certificate based and if you still wanted paper they asked you to request for reschedule. But many provide both options. Your oath email will have the detail. Additionally you can talk to the oath officer during the oath too. From Jan 2023 the application allows you to choose the type of certificate you want.

Thanks for that information. Any clue when shall I expect the oath email (oath on 13th) ?

In a day or two. If you don't, time to call IRCC.

During oath ceremony, you can mention your situation to the judge and ask for e-certificate. They might ask for a proof of your travel.
