Say for example i sent my application in May and Canada post was so slow they did not receive it until my pnp expired in June how can i be held responsible? Should i not get the benefit of doubt i cannot predict how slow or fast the courier is going to be
You can't hold IRCC responsible for the delay. Request for nomination extension and resubmit. By the way, didn't you get notification of when your application was actually received by IRCC?
Looks like IRCC stopped setting applications into DM with few exceptions since November based on forum.
Before December it on average took 10 days from MP to DM, now folks are waiting for DM since November, i wonder if they are focusing on something else right now

Hey guys new to the forum post but been silently following
I have a big issue i sent my application to sydney office through an agent on 8th June 2020 and paid the fees same day my nomination was expiring on 14th June 2020, I called the IRCC helpline to get a temporary file number as July people were receiving AOR and i had not so the helpline number agent told me my file was returned back to my agent through regular mail because my PNP nomination expired
What do i do ? what is the next step? this is frustrating considering i waited 7 months for AOR and now they are saying my nomination expired,
Your situation is tricky, it can go either way if PNP, nomination give you six months and its applicant's responsibility to make sure application reach the designated office before expiry date. Canada post can be blamed for slow delivery, but you also took a unwarranted risk to send it so close to the deadline. you can apply for nomination extension with a plea that COVID 19 delayed you in getting documents organized, attested etc. etc. Let me add, provinces do extend nominations, I believe, if applied before its expiry. Best of luck.
