I don’t know if this may end up being useful for anyone but I got my biometrics done today, I scheduled the appointment since the service is back. My BIL was from my BOWP application from march 2020 and everything went fine! It updated the system 30 minutes later.
Observations:
- I didn’t pay for biometrics when sending out my PR application, I did it for my WP (which was applied in the same week, I wasn’t gonna pay the same fee twice)
- I didn’t get BIL with my AOR (as I said, I didn’t pay the fee during the process)
- my biometrics showed up on cgkey for all the past applications, including updating my BOWP and PR
" From September 17, 2020 to November 17, 2020, provincial and territorial jurisdictions will be able to request that paper-based Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applications be placed on hold in cases where an applicant has experienced a job loss in Canada as a result of the pandemic, or has applied through a business, entrepreneur or self-employed stream, and their application was received prior to March 18, 2020. The processing of these applications will be put on hold until March 17, 2021, until the province or territory confirms that it continues to support the nomination, or until a new job offer is received along with a new confirmation from the province or territory, whichever comes first.
"
I have a quick question. I am 35 years old (Colombian) and I lived in India for 8 months when I was 21 (14 years ago), do I have to ask for an Indian PCC for my paper based application? Or is it only about my last 10 years? Has anyone experienced or witnessed anything similar? Thanks in advance!
Saludos!
