This is very encouraging but at the same time a discouraging news for the ones whose AR are from April till August/September. All these applicants would face at least 5 months delay for their AoR, like mine AR is July 10th. However congrats for all AoR holders today. Let’s hope for the best inshallah.

I tend to agree people will need to wait for 5 months for their AOR unless IRCC increase their working speed. But things to keep in mind is I saw there is one comment said he received AOR and indicated him just has 12 or 13 months left for the entire process. What it means I think is the whole process is within the 19 months time frame. No extra delay introduced into the whole process but just slower to get AOR. This is not from official site so don't take my word too seriously.
My concern is what if a person submitted the application but just missed one paper? Will he get rejected after 5 months of waiting and have to re-submit everything or just submit the missing paper and don't need to wait 5 months again.

My friend’s file came back due to missing of docs. If its medical/police clearance/biometric than its okay if other paper work then it will be back for sure

Thanks for the information. That would be a bad news. If someone unfortunately missed one paper/document other than medical/police clearance/biometric, he will need to wait another 5 months.

I was trying to say it's not too bad but I think I saw your comment it's before covid then it would be wrose. Before the covid, we should get the AOR in 1-2 months after AR.
