Mine was transferred to NDVO on 2nd May, apart from the pre arrival received on 29th May, there has been no update. NDVO seems to be a very very slow office..
When they say "Place of Birth" in the passport request form before "Country of Citizenship", does it mean we need to put basically the country of birth? Or it means to provide city of birth? The box is small to fit city and country together. Anyone knows?
Docs received in Sep then resent (due to a form change) and received again on Jan 16
Medical done in March
File transfer to CPC=M July 11
Waiting on Biometrics
Waiting for DM
That means your file was sitting at Sydney for 6 months. wowww..
My application was received on Apr 4th and still not transferred to VO. Medials, Biometrics done. Not sure how much longer I will have to wait for file transfer.
COPR received today, almost exactly 6 months to the day our application was received! Thank you everyone on this forum who helped with questions and answered questions I didn't even know I had. I wish you all the very best with your loved ones, and as a Canadian, I say welcome to our wonderful country!
Received COPR in the mail the other day!! WOOHOO!!!
Quick question: Is there a 30 day time limit on "landing" (like most other requests, biometrics, medical)? We're vacationing in the states until end of august and then were planning on landing, but if there is a 30 day expiration date on the COPR we'll probably flagpool before heading to the states.

No. The expiration date to land would be on the COPR. It generally is around when you had the medical exam so look at your letter and find the expiry date. I am waiting for my COPR and plan on doing a soft landing near the end of the expiry date (which I'm guessing will either be late March 2020 or early April 2020 due to my med exam on April 1, 2019) as that is when the 5 year clock starts. I hope to settle in mid/late 2021 so that will still give me enough time to acquire days to qualify for citizenship. Note that if someone is coming from the states (applied outland) you do not have to declare goods until you settle, you can just land for PR.
