To be 100% honest, I think you have higher chances of finding someone with a similar case as yours in one of the subforums here dedicated towards Express Entry. People in this forum are either Canadian citizens sponsoring their spouses (meaning, they have never landed as PR in the first place) or PRs that have already landed and thus going through the process of sponsoring through the Family Class Sponsorship route.
Hopefully you do find some help around here though!
Hey thanks for the reply. Actually I haven't yet landed in Canada yet. Since my family composition changed I had to return my copr. Still waiting for ppr though. I have just received the medical surveillance letter
I had received my ppr in novermber 2018 but before landing I got married and added my spouse in the application
I applied to add my spouse in the application on 29th april and did my medicals again on may 22nd after i got another request from them
I received a medical surveillance undertaking on my cic on 18 June
Yet not received the ppr
Has anyone else gone through the same situation..
So is it normal?
Kindly let me know if anyone has any information on this.
Write a webform, state your situation. Also call the clinic you are referred to, explain to them your situation. Tell them you cannot book an appointment yet because you are not in Canada yet just so they know and they won’t mark you as noncompliant.
Yeah I would assume it's okay as well, but part of me gets all suspicious and paranoid about the whole process, because they seem like sticklers on a lot of things so I'm all like "omg..what if they frown upon it?!?!" haha
Please keep me posted on when you get it and where you get it. Hoping it's all fine like we think.
I sent it on the 10th, but it was received on the 12th in Ottawa and my status on GC Key changed to 'approved' on the 29th. It seems like they send them out and update the approvals in batches, at the end of the week (Friday or Saturday) so maybe that'll be the case for yours
We did biometrics last week. I was just curious because based on the tracking spreadsheet, it seems like decision made on Ecas can show up before PPR. Just getting greedy
it’s been months since we’ve heard and finally got medical request today!!
Application Received: Jan 25
AOR: March 8
SA: March 11
Addiontional Police Check Request: March 13
Application transfer to Port-au-Prince, Haiti VAC : March 19
No medical request yet, but biometrics are still valid as gave in 2016 (expires 2026)
Additional Police Certificate submitted: May 7 via online portal
Medical Request: July 3
I'm new to this entire website. I commend you all on the support and help you've provided eachother with. I live in MTL, and I'm sponsoring my wife who lives in Iraq
My timeline is as follows:
App recieved: jan 14
AOR: mar 4
Request to pay biometrics fees: Mar 6 --> i did not pay it when i submitted the application in January.
Paid the biometrics fee: Mar 6
SA: Mar 7
Confirmation of biometrics fee reception: Mar 11
Transfer to visa office (Amman): Mar 19
Now, one little thing. We didn't recieve requests for medical examination or biometrics. If I understood well from what i read on this thread, almost all people had their medical exam and biometrics requested prior to their files being transferred to the VO.
Does anyone have information whether this is fine or it may be an issue? Or has anyone heard of people where the file was transferred prior to the requests?
Hi
you still waiting for you medical test , as I applied for my wife and kids in Amman office and till now there is no medical test request .
I sent the requested document on 4 April 2019 , and nothing till now .

It's been 161 days since our application was received. I've noticed many people getting DM around the 160 day mark, I hope that this is our week! We haven't heard anything new since biometric request at the end of May. Fingers crossed and staying positive!
