You should get your COPR this week!! Mine changed to approved last Saturday & I received my COPR on Wednesday

Good to know! I think the holiday on Monday might delay it by a day, but we should be getting it back via Canada Post. I'm just hoping to get it by July 8 at the latest because we're planning to land on July 9. Have you flag poled already?

How does one get to know that their background check has started?
As I see this on my ECAS on the sponsor side :

1. We received your application on April 25.
2. We sent you a letter on June 9
3. “We started processing your application on June 8.”

Is the 3rd point the background check? Kindly let me know

No, if it's on the sponsor's side it would pertain to the sponsor's portion of the application. So that should mean they started processing your application for sponsorship on June 8th.

The background check pertains to the PA's part of the application and should be under the PA's section on ECAS. It is usually further along in the process, probably after medical has been passed and could be before or after biometrics are done. Hope that helps.

Good morning. There’s no answer to that question it could be done within a month or within the next couple of months. There’s no way of knowing how far down the line you are. Your application was received few days over two months ago; I’d suggest just be patient.
