I have recently started following this thread. We received our medical exam request today.
Just had a few questions in mind -
1) What kind of tests will the doctor perform?
2) Do we need to prepare ourselves before going for the medical test?
Is there anyone who has already submitted his/her medical report to CIC?
Hi.. I had done my medicals when I was declared as a non accompanying dependant and at that time they did my chest xray, blood test and urine test and for me they also did an eye test and then a physician checked on the BP, and asked general health questions

1. HIV, syphillis, active TB, blood pressure, urine, vision, body measurement. just basic checks.
2. bring documents from cic, your passport, Drink more water 3 hours before your visit so you provide your urine sample faster (more info here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=843&top=4) (you may or may not need to bring your own photos, double check with your panel physician)
Decision are made based on case by case. Can you please fill up your spreadsheet if you have a minute please?? You ask questions everyday but haven't shared anything to other people yet lol

For those having trouble with linking their GCKey account with their application, I think sometimes it depends on when it's "entered" in their system. I finally managed to link up after having received the AOR1 from 3 days ago, and after trying about every combination under the sun. It says in my GCKey account that our permanent residency application was submitted today. I also received Sponsorship Approval today, so that might have had something to do with it. Anyways, this is my combination that seemed to have worked (a spouse with no other dependents):
1. Selected "Permanent Residency"
2. Selected "Family Sponsorship (Spouse)"
3. Selected "Application Number and Family Name" (filled out PA's family name)
4. Selected "Passport" and filled out PA's passport info
5. Selected city + province as outlined in our application
6. Martial Status: Married
7. Number of family members: 2
My application was received by the Sydney office on Jan 3 and still haven’t received any updates. I just wonder if it’s because we used a rep and the process will be delayed. Really worried now. Pls give me some advice on this. Thanks.
