I am also in same boat ...So what I think ...Before giving the Passport Request they will anyhow ask us for the Biometrics and Biometrics doesnt take much time once appointment is booked ....Let's be patient
I hope you're right! That would be awesome! Hopefully we don't have to be patient for toooooo long lol but you are right, we have no choice but to be patient.
Medical and biometric request is pretty random so sometimes it comes right after AOR sometimes it comes when file transferred to VO. But you will be getting SA when you see "decision made" on ECAS (sponsor side), then file will be transferred to VO when they send you a file-transfer email.

Its so different for everyone. some receives AOR, some can see in ECAS and some can link the app. One needs to just wait for his/her turn. All the best to all who are waiting for first sign of receipt.
I have been following this thread for quite a bit of time now and I find it very helpful, so thank you for all the comments.
I am the sponsor and my application was received on Jan. 31/19, AOR1 March 12 and Medical request March 13. In AOR1, I received my UCI and applic. # but when PA received medical request, it has a different UCI but same applic. #. Are we supposed to have different UCIs? Also, I couldn't link my application using my UCI but managed to link it with PA's UCI to my GCKey account. Should PA also create a GCKey account and link application? Thank you in advance!
Yes, it's normal to have two different UCIs -- one is for the sponsor and one is for the PA (technically you are both submitting applications, one to be a sponsor and one to be a PR).
PA does not need to create a GCKey account to link the application. It's totally fine if it's already been successfully linked to your account.
1. So when we sent in our application, we never mentioned a UCI because we didn't have one. HOWEVER!!! However. I applied for an eTA about 3-4 weeks after we sent out tge application. I received the eTA approval, linked it to my GCkey, and I can see that I have a UCI there now. Will the system / IRCC know to attach the same UCI to our PR application?
Just wondering because then I could use my UCI to try and search for the app on gckey, rather than filling out a crapload of information every time.
2. We paid for the application online and got an 'Official Receipt' with the receipt number being a letter followed by 9 numbers. Doesn't say IMM5401 on it (ECAS specifically says Receipt Number IMM5401). Our reference number is maybe around 16 digits? So... will our receipt number still work? Maybe I'm trying to track things wrong lol
I think you're right the UCI numbers are different. My husband had his UCI number from when he applied for visitor visa and I received the AOR email today which has a different UCI number in it..when we linked the application it shows his original UCI number from before..
i completed the x-ray last Tuesday then doctors & lab last Friday.
Dr Gibson emailed me on Tuesday saying he had emailed my completed exam off to IRCC.

You're referring to something different than @mpigeau, who is wondering whether a UCI assigned for an eTA will be automatically linked to a PR application that is in progress. The UCI you received today in your AOR1 is your number as sponsor; your husband will have a different one as the PA. (Everyone has two UCIs -- one for sponsor and one for PA.)
