January 2019 onwards Paper Based PR Applicants waiting for AOR/MR/PPR

When it changes to Application received on ECAS it means your file has been transferred from Sydney or Ottawa to the local office in the city where you live. My friend got the same notification on ECAS and when she called was informed her file was transferred to the Calgary office where she lives.

Are you a single applicant or do you have other dependants on your application? Not sure how they decide which applications get transferred to the local office.

I am SINP inland applicant with 3 dependents.

My friend has 1 dependant on her application. I am assuming if your application has dependants on it,then it gets transferred to the local office. Not sure if it speeds up or delays the processing time for you to receive PPR.

Simply apply again with the restoration fee and proper docs. You will get it don't worry.

I think many applicants must have the step for PPR because the passport will mailed to Ottawa not to Syndey(For inland). I do not know the files will be transfered after which stages are completed.

You get the Confirmation Of Permanent Residence at the local VO office if it gets transferred and don't have to mail your passport to Ottawa.

A ghost update is usually when you get an email saying there has been a change to your account. When you log in there is no change. This happens a lot when the officer just goes into view your account. The first ghost update comes a day or two before you receive a pre-arrival letter and indicates you passed eligibility and another one comes before you receive your PPR request.
