I won't lie that I am frustrated as well. But accusing IRCC that they are ignoring paper based applications is just not right like some people say in this forum. Making accusations like that is just inappropriate and immature. IRCC already announced that they are working with limited staff due to COVID-19 and that it would delay further processing of PR applications but some people just won't understand, instead people accuse them of being lazy. Let's stop this negativity guys. If we want to complain, let's not make assumptions that they are not doing their jobs.

Thank you Macot73. I am hoping but not really expecting because the estimated processing time completes in January 2021. I think the ghost update is only security starting or something like that. Anyway, wish you best and hope you get your COPR soon!
Is it really depends on different case? My friend apply for it at 2018 Aug, and she got medical request on 2019 May, landing and waitOMG for pr card, everything settled in 2019 Aug.... she is bcpnp inland ...
Our's is the same timeline but day before yesterday when i called the call centre officer she said my security is started how come not your's you applied under which category and which office your file is in
I got another ghost update today. I think this happens everytime our application timeline increases by 1%. So I got 2 ghost updates 2 weeks in a row now. I am not sure though. It is just my observation.
I called today IRCC, they said that yesterday was an update on my file notes saying that my file was ready to be sent to Ottawa to finish processing, however due pandemic, it didn't happen. They will send my file when IRCC in Sidney go back to work!
Does anybody know when Sidney may go back to normal?

Congrats , I still argue COVID 19 can not be used as a reason for delaying applications that are already in the system. What I realize is COVID is not going to vanish from the world any soon. We need to adjust ourselves to live with that by taking proper measures. If they can not manage existing loads, they should not conduct new draws.
