Application for citizenship mailed: January 22, 2019

Application for citizenship delivered: January 25, 2019

Acknowledge Of Reception (AOR): March 19, 2019

In Process ( ecas): April 25, 2019

Test Invite Received(by email): June 28, 2019

Test/Interview: July 17, 2019

Change of Status to Decision Made: January 27, 2020

Email Invitation Oath Ceremony: August 31,2020

Oath Ceremony (Virtual): September 1, 2020

Received Citizenship Certificate: September 21, 2020

Posted passport demand package: October 19, 2020

Passport demand package received by Passport Canada: October 20, 2020

Received package with Canadian passport: November 10, 2020

Received package with Citizenship certificate back: November 10, 2020

Guys, there is an update on IRCC website that specifically requests applicants whose oath ceremonies were cancelled in March because of COVID-19 to send a request through webform. This might speed up the process a little bit and you might receive your oath invite if you contact them.

Here's what it says :

Contact us through the Web form if you

• had a ceremony scheduled on or before March 15, 2020, and
• haven’t received an invitation for a video oath ceremony.

Choose the following options :

1. What did you apply for? = Citizenship
2. Which citizenship application? (required) = Becoming a Canadian Citizen (grant of Citizenship)
3. Click on 'Video oath ceremony (virtual citizenship ceremony)'

Will my child has to take the citizenship test now if they were less than 18yrs at the time of signing the application and also at the time of my test date (canceled due to pandemic) and now when the online tests have started and he is above 18yrs?

No. As on the date of signing the application he was not 18 years. So he will be exempted from taking the test.

Help create a Twitter trend so IRCC takes action on pending 2019 applications
Otherwise IRCC seems to be busy prioritizing 2020 and 2021 applications, which is grossly unfair to 2019 applicants.
