Thanks! You mean this form? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp
Ironically, that form has a question: "Is your application being processed by an office OUTSIDE Canada?".. I selected no and submitted it anyway
Yes you should choose no as still you don't know where your file is. Now please wait for 5 working days. Hopefully they will reply to you with some good news.
Found another post that explains the process. But doesn't use the same jargon. Hopefully one of them is helpful. http://askkubeir.com/lifeline-of-express-entry/
The queries for eligibility test , background check can be understood....
Hii everyone i am new to this forum my AOR is 2 Jan .my 6 months of application passed ,but background check not even started yet .is anyone also passing through same difficulty. Thanks!!
That's where we all are...January Applications are not being looked at currently, they are saving face by processing other months to maintain their "6 months" mantra...Applications are definitely not processed as they are received

By looking at the data at Immitracker, although not reliable by any stretch of the imagination, most of the applications filed in the month of November were processed. December, not much so. Looks like they are a month behind and this trend might continue at this pace of AORs. It will be interesting to see how the processing times will vary in a year from now. But then again, applications flow a different speed.
Your country of origin, residence, military service and religion might make your background check take longer at the security phase.
