Hi All,

AOR - 17 Jan, 2019. This week, I got an email from CIC asking me to upload renewed passport as my current passport is about to expire in 6 months. I have already started the process for passport renewal but wanted to check what stage I should be in? Am I near to PPR as they are checking the passport information or they can check validity at any point in time ?

Your eligibility is being checked... I don't think it's a cause for worry. Just upload the new passport copy.

Yes so sad. But I think you are near PPR because of updating ADR.

No, the ircc people told me, if you have ADR, then your processing time is definitely longer than average time, and from my GCMS notes, they did indeed held off my application till they received my RCMP

@Fanadian for me, ADR meant I was near PPR so it can happen at any stage.

@HarisJ IRCC won't know details if it's been passed over to London VO. You would need to contact LVO to learn more about your application.

Aor Jan 26th. CPC Edmonton. CEC inland. Called CIC today. My timeline changed from July 26th to September 30th. Eligibility is still processing and Security not started. It will be delayed over two months. So frustrated....

Did you ask them why? there's gotta be some reason why are they postponing your application

No offense my friend, it just I called them and they told me because my RCMP and Fingerprints request, so my application got held off for a while, and " a while" here is almost two months, so my elegibility is under review, and background and criminaligy hasn't started yet...

AOR Jan 31st-CEC Inland- I got a letter from CIC for a PR landing interview, No PPR.
The letter however mentions only my kid's name.
Anybody in a similar situation?

I have received an email through CIC account which says following, is this PPR? i am confused but seems good sign i was expecting an email to my personal email

Dear xxx

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 3 days:
Step1 Change circumstance
step2passport requirements
step3 prepare the documents etc

i received an email to my personal email saying you have a new message on my account and when logged into CIC account there it was as request letter. That is why i was confused because i have been reading all along here that people receive ppr to their email account with title ready for visa.
