I got an email asking me if i want to take a test/ceremony if test is passed at a certain week...is that normal?

Can anyone shares ones experience about Test. All the candidates will have the same test with same questions and serial? Is there any chance to get help with someone for any question?

I hope that you're NOT actually being serious! Start your preparation well in advance (if you need more time) and rely on your own intellect! You can't beat that satisfaction!

Did you receive that mail from IRCC?

Where is you processing office?

I haven't heard that before but if they could do that, it's better for us applicants who have travel plans...

if you are dying for appetite you will not ask for food from someone right.....
if you are dying for some disease you will not ask help from doctor right.....
if you are drowning you will not ask for help right....

I want to know about the environment to prepare myself if you dont have to share anything better to zip you mouth.....

The point of the test is for you to show your knowledge of the questions asked. Not to show that you have the skills to find out the answer by asking someone. It's not life or death, it's a knowledge test. You have to know the answers.

So the environment you should prepare yourself for is that of an exam, done under exam conditions. It's not life or death like your examples you gave, and applying for citizenship is a totally voluntary process (unlike starving, fighting a disease, or drowning).

I will not ask you to zip your mouth, I don't know where you came from but Canada has freedom of speech and people can say whatever they want. But based on your question, I highly doubt that you care about learning about this society or assimilating in this society.

Yes i recieved from IRCC...i live in a remote part of Newfoundland...i dont know my processing office..i gues

An update from my side. The CIC agent on the phone was very polite. He confirmed that my FP results were received on May14th. I had gotten them done on May 2nd. He also said that the background check has been completed.

As I gently pushed for more details, he said that the next step is knowledge test. This gave me hope. Does anyone know how long can it take?

I just wanted to say something to everyone who's still worried about how long they've been waiting in this January thread. It's worth keeping an eye on last year's spreadsheet too, not just comparing ourselves to the few lucky people who have gotten test invites ahead of our own timelines.

That's the December sheet, and there are the tabs for November and October in there too.

As of right now:

• Only 26% of December applicants have test invites
• Only 51% of November applicants have test invites
• 68% of October applicants have test invites, however there are about 1000 people listed for October.

There are 154 names in our January sheet. 21% have test invites (120 people still waiting). Of the approximately 1000 October names listed, there are still 320 waiting.

That means there are almost 3 times as many OCTOBER applicants still waiting for their test invites.

Just some perspective. Don't panic. Our turns will come eventually.

It’s frustrating to be IP since 29th March and not seeing any movement from Halifax office. Every time I call them, they tell me tour file looks “very good” and nothing is required. All checks are completed. I should expect a test invitation soon. But that “soon” is is stuck somewhere.
