Hello everyone -

I wrote my test today. Passed, interview was pretty short and sweet, Immi. Officer said all was good and we should be expecting an email in 6-8 weeks. He mentioned 6-8 weeks at least 4 times, said due to year end it will be really busy... makes me feel they do not want anyone to have any high expectations - he made sure we knew it will be 6-8 weeks before we see oath ceremony invitation.

Oh well... when we've waited 9+ years to be here where we are today, what's 6-8 weeks more

Thank you for your reply. This is bad and sad. Nothing we can do unfortunately. I will notify you if I received any updates. The problem is not the 12 month time frame, it's not knowing if it will be 13,14, or more.

CIC told you that 12 months are not applicable to you because of FP

Thank you very much for your reply. I believe this may be an excuse they tell to push some applications' timeline. I have 3 siblings, all of them applied shortly before me (2-5 weeks), all were requested to submit FP, and all got their citizenship in 12 months. I am almost 12 months and I didn't receive a test invite. And BTW they didn't tell me anything as I didn't contact them.
