Logically if there are more applicants in GTA then GTA should (proportionally) have more resources to handle the larger number of applicants, after all the applicants paid ample processing fees, correct?

I totally agree with you @JPBless....we paid the same processing fee. It's totally frustrating to see people from other provinces already citizens as early as June where here most of us still waiting...I have nothing against those people who are already citizens, I'm happy for them. But CIC should better handle this....
Hi,
I applied in January 2018. My application shows in progress status since March 22. Many people have already become citizens. I am wondering what's happening to my application? My child's fingerprints were required and I sent it to them 2 months back. But, there is still no response. Hope everything works well.
Those who have completed the process, the next step is to apply for a Canadian passport. I have described the process here along with how to fill up the form in details

You can send urgent application with flight ticket to get a new card faster than the normal process. My advice call cic before you send this application.
You dont need a valid PR card to enter via car, you can use your COPR to enter. I drove one of my friends who had lost his PR card. Also I am in same situation as you and will be doing same in November

Totally agree, and you can check the applicants in other months such February and March and some of them already became citizens while my wife's application still in process and when she called CIC last August, they responded that her clearance check had been completed on June 15 and she got the test invite by end of September which means 3.5 months waiting nothing while my neighbour applied in February and she had the text by end of August. I don't know how they are handling the applications.
Admin please update test invitation received on September 28 and test date is on October 18. Line 130
