You're updated! As namesmilk said, Ecas doesn't appear to be working at the moment. My best guess is they're updating the system or doing server maintance.... although if that's the case, it would nice if they informed us!
Hopefully, we'll see some Sponsor Approvals rolling in soon!
This morning:
Hubby: "I got an email from the government."
Me: *gets super excited and nervous - like omg pit in my stomach* "What is it?"
Hubby: "I asked the government how to get my duty refunded."
I'm hoping i get some kind of acknowledgement of my file being transferred to the Visa office and to exactly which Visa office...
however, this seems like im asking too much from these people.
Hoping for the best.
Cheers mate.

Hi there kingkhan787,
In my circumstance I received an email from CIC in London explaining that:
Your application is in process or waiting to be reviewed by an immigration officer. It has arrived within our London office. No further action is required by you at this time.
Our office will contact the applicant when a decision has been made or if further information is required. Immigration decisions and information requests are sent by post or email to the addresses provided in the application.
This seems like a generic reply, but it was good to know it was received. I guess it all depends by application. There ends up being an element of *trust* with these things and giving into the process that it is being dealt with.
To be honest, As long as you have provided sufficient evidence of your employment/salary/hours letters and Option-C form you're good!
I work for a very large corporation that has the HR area outsourced. i had to out a 1-800# under my supervisors info that was a pre-recorded voice message.
I got my approval quite rather quick, just 22 days.
Dont sweat it, you'll be fine!

Hi everyone...
From your experience, do you know if the CIC normally calls employers for sponsor verification? It's just that my supervisor/employer has been extremely busy lately (working on a very big project) that it's very difficult to reach him by phone (he's constantly attending meetings). The last thing I want is for the CIC to call my employer, only to find out he doesn't answer the phone...! :-X
If you'd like to join the fun, please let me know:
- what date you applied
- what date you did medicals
- what date CIC got your application, if you know (it's usually in the AOR email if you want/need to find it)
- which office you applied to (I'm guessing Ottawa, but it can't hurt to ask)
- you can add where you plan to land in Canada if you'd like (totally optional)
You got approval before AOR? Hahahah, CIC is funny!
