Hi everyone, I called CIC again (i was on hold for 15 mins, huhu, phone bill is gonna be huge) and the agent said, they are working on Feb 1 so they should have an update by now. But when she checked she said they are still making some verification on my application and should wait and call again if no word has been received by May 28 (ridiculous... that's too long).

Then, I tried to log in to ecas using my Client ID (as sponsor) and surprise surprise, I was able to log in. I have my name, address, my hubby's name, but still under Sponsorship Application Status and Permanent Residence Application Status - still "Application Received"

Glad that there is one positive thing today, and hopefully, wishful thinking, that since they have uploaded our info on ecas, we will also be getting approval soon.. I really really hope and pray.. its 97 days now... :'(

It was a similar response I received last week and then a day letter I received the approval.. Hang in there and I think you should call back again.

thanks.. Problem is I've been receiving that response since last week =) But I really have my hopes up that I'll be receiving my approval this week. I'll probably call again tomorrow and everyday until I get approval..

I was Told to wait till June to get and PR Approval when I call CIC , and I got an email 4 Days after my call Confirming my PR Approval .
My online Status still showing Application received

Therefore I wouldn't worry about what the CIC Agent Said

I had to get several police reports too. I have been living/working and travelling around the world for 10 years! Urgh!

My husband lived in 5 different countries since he was 18 and getting all those criminal record checks was a pain in the butt! in particular Japan... which is sooooo slow.

Hello Again!!!

Still going crazy wondering whether I should be sending my Passport or not. I tried to call New Delhi but to no avail, my husband called CIC but they tell us to contact "New Delhi". I mailed New Delhi twice already, but no response...at times my anxiety amuses me but the other times makes me really frustrated.....

Anyways, me and my husband thought about it, we decided to wait few days and send my passport, and face whatever awaits us...hopefully good news...finger crossed!!! We are planning to attach a letter along with the passport stating that I am residing in USA (Hopefully they won't call me for interview) Lets see what happens? I will keep you guys posted too....and if anyone has any suggestion....would appreciate it....and I heard that some people had interviews over the phone.....Any idea guys????

have you tried calling Canadian Cooperation Office in Kathmandu? This is a number to their visa section (at least the section that deals with collecting and sending passports to ND and receiving them back and arranging interviews) 977-1-4415192. Please try calling them in afternoons (Nepalese time), but you could try mornings as well. My understanding is they answer in afternoons. As far as I know, they do interviews as well. Somewhere I read that you could have a telephone interview also. I keep on saying to the best of my knowledge as I'm not a CIC insider, but I'm pretty certain about Lazimpat office as that's where my wife's been calling for her PPR and that's where she'll be dropping her passport and picking it up when it comes back from ND. They definitely will have a record of your PPR if your mailing address is in Nepal.

By the way, did you receive your PPR through email or was it a regular mail? Was it send to a Nepali address or US address?

Also, if there are people from Nepal on this board, please jump in and give us your understanding. Because of Canadian Cooperation Office in Kathmandu acting as an intermediary between ND VO and applicant, our procedures and timelines are a little different than an Indian applicant who gets a mail directly from VO in ND.

I know it's easier said than done, but please try not to panic. Instead call 977-1-4415192 and ask them if they do interviews and if they have your PPR in their file.

This is my first post but I have been silently reading the posts almost everyday.. actually several times a day. Just wanted to share my experience and ask a question at the same time. My application was recieved by CPC-M on 31st Jan.

I recieved an email from ottawa pilot today.. stating resubmit a couple of forms which are already there in the application.. they are just too lazy to look.. i mean who in their right mind is going to miss IMM0008 seriously..

anyhow.. I have emailed them and hopefully might hear.. just wanted to ask if anyone had emailed ottawa and actually recieved a reply?

I Believe there is 2 Different IMM0008 Form, Because the same thing happened to me

Sponosrship Approved.. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 97 days!!!!!! OMG I'm so happy I'm crying with joy... and this is only the 1st stage... :,))))))) Thank you everyone who gave their support and made me strong, and kept me believing..

Question to everyone: What is that F0000***** ? is it the file number?

and hope everyone from january group will get their approval soon because you cant have more problems than we do with documents, i mean no option -c, no job, little work history(mostly volunteer ), sponsor outside of canada and many others. just wait and dont worry about approval, you will get some good news soon. at first we decided not to post yet (it would make others worried who applied before us, same happened to me when others were getting approval who applied after me) but could not control.

It means Application number, I used it to check the e-cas also..
