I just noticed on your spreadsheet that your app was received by CIC-M on the same day as mine (Jan 10th) and we are both hoping to move on to Buffalo! I will definitely be following your progress. As far as I can tell, we have different agents though-- your AOR was sent out much earlier-- but we have yet to hear anything else. What does your e-cas say?

ps- how was the Bachelor? lol

Bachelor was good....of curse he didn't pick who we all wanted him to, but that wouldn't make for good tv if he had of so I get it!

Januarians...have i missed anyone else on the spreadsheet....I really don't want to leave anyone out!

Don't forget... Message me with your updates as they come ...I'm on here all the time but sometimes there is a lot going on and I might miss an update.

I'm positive that things are going to start moving along, we've seen the most action these last few days then we have for the last 3 weeks!

ahhh I miss North American TV! We came over to Asia so we could wait out the visa process together. one day, one day...

My ecas says the same... maybe tomorrow!

Finally got an email today from CIC...it states "This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/01/13."... AOR, in other words.

It's small, but it's great to even just get that!

Thanks Amoss! And guess what? I called CIC in the morning to inquire the status or just even get an info whether my application was received. But the guy who got my call told me that they don't have any idea yet because they are just opening those applications received on Jan. 3, 2012. Then suddenly when I opened my email in the afternoon, i was surprised to see this subject "Citizenship & Immigration Canada: Information about <Application #> from "Do not Reply - Ne Pas Repondre".
At least, it's a relief that my application did not go somewhere.

It's small, but it's great to even just get that!

Yes, I know what you mean! I called last Friday because I was getting worried. I got the same info as you. The way the person even responded to me made me even more panicked (she said: "you haven't even gotten an acknowledgment letter from us??" with a touch of shock in her voice!).

But then, the next day I got my AOR. I guess I should call back and ask about approval now.. maybe I will get the e-mail after they tell me they have no idea.

It sounds like their computer system isn't accurate at all and calling won't get you accurate info either.

It seems agents use the same computer system however I think they are processing application Jan 10 if you look at the Jan sheet

When I phoned CIC, first they won't even check if your application was not received before January 25th. Next she asked if I had a client number, which I didn't, so I just gave her my receipt number and she looked me up that way.
