No problem.

One more thing- I dont think you can get fingerprinting done at police station in Toronto...you need to go to accredited agency.

I used Commissioners in Toronto

You should follow the CIC guidelines and send PCC for countries other than Canada. CIC will ask for Canadian PCC if required on a later date.

Hi mannte,

I am in USA currently and I was also asked to do Criminal Records Check. You have mentioned that I can send the fingerprint page to friend in Canada and authorization letter and proof of identity to transfer the fingerprints electronically.

Can you let me know what should I write in the authorization letter? Also can I send the proof of identity in scanned copy over email?

Also in RCMP site, it is mentioned that it takes 22 weeks for processing paper fingerprint but only 3 days for electronic fingerprint.
So my next question is the way you suggested, will it take 3 days or 22 weeks.

Please let me know asap as I was initially planning to re-enter Canada and do my electronic fingerprinting.

Senthil.
