Respected team,
I am eligible for CEC program. I have education and experience as a cook. I have cleared my trade certificate in Professional cook 3 (Red seal certificate). Am I eligible to get extra point (with red seal certificate) if I apply for CEC program, as with the certificate I am able to achieve 509 CRS score.
One of the lawyer told me that trade certificate is only valid if you apply for FSW program.
kindly answer me as I want apply for my CEC.
Thanks
Yup, that's correct CEC and Trades are two different streams and certificates are for the latter stream.
Okay, that means no extra points (of trade certificate) for me if I am targeting for CEC ?
Okay, that means no extra points (of trade certificate) for me if I am targeting for CEC ?
The question is how you target CEC if you are a cook?
No, My question is, I have trade certificate for cook that is red seal for professional cook 3.
When I check my CRS score with certificate it was 509, without certificate it was 485. I am getting extra 24 point for my trade certificate. Now If I apply for Canadian experience class, am I eligible for those extra 24 points ?
my lawyer said that those extra point with trade certificate will only benefits for FSW program, not for CEC. She said for CEC your score is 485, not 509.
FYI: I am eligible to apply for CEC as I am in Canada and worked more than 1 year in Canada as cook/chef.
I hope it make sense.
Then it's correct, you are eligible for CEC and you cannot claim points for your certificate.
