It has been about 1 month and 1 week since I sent my application. I tried to check my status online but it states that they have no record of my receipt number and one of the reasons is because they have not opened my application yet. is this normal? Does it usually take awhile for them to open the apps once they have been received?? Thank you

it takes btw 60-62 days before u hear from CIC then u get AOR with ur UCI number after some days u can start to log into eCAS.
Most people cannot access ECAS until they have SA, at least. So yes, it is normal.

Hi, its been nearly four months and I haven't received the first initial email. I've rang several times with several different answers and no one can help me :-(

Did you track it to verify it was delivered? Was it an inland or Outland application?
