Is there a such thing as fast track LMIA?

Hello, I am currently on a work permit in Canada and looking to get another one from a new employer. That have filed for a LMIA approval application. They told me that they put it through fast track and I will have my work permit within 6 months once the 30 day advertisement period is over. Is that true? Or do I have to wait for approval of the LMIA which takes 6-8 weeks then have to file an application for work permit using LMIA approval letter? And how long does the application take?

There is no such thing.

The LMIA i am using got approved in 10 days.
