I got a PT letter last week. But since I was travelling, I couldn't gather the details then. Now I am ready and can send the application out tomorrow. I just want to know if there is any cutoff number or date they have mentioned or we can check?
I am sending from India. So it will take another 4-5 days more for it to reach there. Is it worth spending CAD 1500 now?
You're allowed 45 days from the date the letter is issued to you to either accept or reject the invitation. If you do neither, it will lapse after 45 days.
Is it worth 1500 CAD or not depends totally on one thing only - Do you expect the CRS cutoff to reach your score anytime soon? If you do, you can wait it out and get an ITA without spending this money. If you're not sure, this is a 1500 CAD gamble. It is a gamble because getting this invite (and spending 1500 CAD) is NOT a guarantee that you'll get the nomination as well.
Thanks Asivad.. My question on spending CAD 1500 was more about "Now" than about the gamble.
I agree that its a gamble anyways. But if the cutoff number of applications have been received, then its no longer a gamble but just throwing away the money.
My question was triggered by the fact that PNPs were getting closed in days if not in hours.

PTs were still being sent out as late as yesterday - that's just from forum chit chat and I've no other source on the same.
But nominations is an entirely different animal, right? People have just started submissions and MCIIT has said that they will take up to 90 days for 80% of applicants. So it appears that you still have time but that's just a guess.
Like I said, it all boils down to your particular score and if you think the cutoff will fall to that level over the next 30-40 days so that you get a 'regular' ITA.

It's unlikely you're too late. I would submit PNP app if I were you. It's possible that EE draw may drop down to where your at by end of year but no guarantee.
