Is it better to apply for spouse sponsorship or express entry for spouse?

I live in gatineau quebec and the processing time to sponsor a spouse outland is 24 months.
I also saw that express entry processing time is only 7 months right now.
I'm getting married in a couple of months so i was going to sponsor my wife but then i saw these last update about the processing time. My wife is billingual with a master degree, so i'm pretty sure she will get in the pool. ( the last score was 463).
Do you think, that it's ok for her to apply for express entry even if her husband lives in quebec?
It's fine, although you'd want to check the express entry forums because the draws are not always done as quick as expected.
You may want to apply for both - sometimes the spousal are quite a bit faster than the posted timelines. Apart from the expense and paperwork, there's no reason not to.

This 24 month processing time seems excessive. Probably related to covid backlog affecting this statistics.
Mifi currently processes csq requests within a month. Some report two month to transfer csq to ircc. So while it will be slower than outside of QC but shouldn't be that drastic.
