Hello All,
Is IELTS score really required to prove proficiency in English? I have more than 4 yrs. of IT experience and have a Masters degree. As every one knows, English is mostly used if not the only used language in daily activities.
Can we convince Immigration Authorities that I have enough proficiency without taking IELTS. I have enough points with Baic proficiency.
Appreciate your experiences and thoughts...
you musthave take IELTS exam , to cliam points for english or french .
IELTS is the mandatory for to show language proficiency .
immi
as u r from non english speaking country then it is mandatory for u to take IELTS. or u may lose points.
It is recommanded to give IELTS exam, this will ensure your language points.
CHC/CIC also recommands IELTS exam, otherwise its upto IO/VO how much point u will get it could be 2,4,8 or ZERO
good luck
thank u all, I have enough points to be eligible without Language Ability points. I am wondering if I can save IELTS fee.
If you don't take IELTS now, you will be asked to take it later and it will definitely extend your processing time
If you have 67 points without language points, then I guess it is okay not to do IELTS. i don't think there is a minimum language points policy.
Write them a letter.
Can anyone here say whether there is a minimum language points criteria.

No, but you still need to establish your proficiency through a written explanation and supporting documentation.
Proof of language proficiency is required for your application to be considered complete, otherwise it will be returned to you. If your native language is English or French, you still need to provide a letter attesting to this fact.
If you don't need the points, write a letter and send supporting documents. There are instructions in your application guide.
hm... would it be possible one scores the highest in IELTS? What's the highest score to be considered?
