Is GIC recommended for study visa for funded PhD Position? I have got a PhD position in Quebec and already applied for CAQ, and now I need to obtain a study permit through non-SDS, even though GIC is not required, but I heard it's recommended. Is it so? And what is the processing time for a study permit for a PhD? I need to start for Fall term.
