I have done my academic IELTS in 2009.Its expired on 2011. In the citizenship application language proficiency they want the IELTS result of general IELTS .(Expired results are also acceptable).
My question is.if i submit my academic IELTS result,is it acceptable? because in their guideline they only want the general not the academic. But so far i know that academic ielts has higher value than general IELTS.
Please reply.
no. if you submit academic ielts you'll get points only for speaking and listening sections but not for reading and writing parts
Hello,
You must take the General Training module for citizenship. Also, the IELTS test is no longer valid after 2 years.

1. The IELTS if valid for Citizenship purposes, no matter how long ago it was submitted. But since IELTS academic was not valid for Immigration purposed, the OP obviously didn't submit it with an Immigration application so it can't be used.
