If your file is at Ottawa VO, does that mean you have to send ur passport there for stamping?

I have read on the forum that if indeed Ottawa VO specifies to sent the passport there, a mail can be sent to them requesting for a change in VO to the local one. The CIC usually replies back in 10-15 days it seems. From the time CIC replies (eg: If CIC replied on 01-June-2017 saying that you can forward your passport to your Local VO), then from 01-June-2017 till 30-June-2017 you have time to submit your passport. 30 days from the time CIC replies to your PPR change VO query. This is my understanding.

Thanks. So we have 30day time limit to submit our passports to local VO? how long does the VO keep our passports for stamping?

I have heard that the average stamping time is 10-15 days.
