On September 28th it changed to "NA"
On September 29th it changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."
But I did not get any 'message' regarding the start of my background check, even though my express entry profile says otherwise.
What could it mean? Thanks for help.

It is not unusual that you did not get any messages during the status changes.
Many members have reported that they never got the message when status changed.
I think we can call your status as IP2 (In Process 2) because they are now doing the background check.
Nevertheless, it is clear that your application has advanced a lot and a decision would come within next few weeks for sure.

Thank you for help. I hope so. Basically, they might call my employer now, check other documents and then come to a conclusion, right? How long on average it may take?
Yeah, probably that is the course of action.
For some people, they don't verify the employment records/POF either!
Probably depends on case to case, but from IP2 it takes 4-6 weeks to get PPR.

This is IP2. I never got any message and it just changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." on Sep 5th. They usually do the BCG check during this time. It might take some time to get PPR, hard to say by when.

Thanks. Then there is only one way is to wait for the decision. I read that many people got PPR after 1-5 days after IP2 stages though. Maybe CIC is more strict nowadays and needs to check thoroughly.

Yes. They are very serious about it. I am not sure if I should consider myself in IP2 from Sep 5th or I should from 26th (after no add doc required). Still waiting. No update on account.
