We have a scheduled interview with Buffalo in June. We had confirmed it with them in March and booked our flights and hotel. With its office closing, wondering if anyone else having interview with Buffalo June or after? Is there a way to confirm the interview with them? :'(

Hello, AW2011. I'm sorry to hear about this really tough time. I posted the following in the US outland applicants' thread with CPP-O's e-mail and fax number. I would e-mail them asap. Hopefully you hear back soon.

Ambber29 and others with interviews in June that had been scheduled in Buffalo that don't know where they are at, here is CPC-O's contact info (it may be more effective than case specific enquiry to Buffalo at this point for follow-up since Buffalo is officially closed now per their website)

If you get any info, it would be great if you could report back in the US outland applicants' thread so that you can help others with interviews out. Others may do the same, so it may help you to pop in there too.
I wish you the best of luck and hope you hear back *very* soon so that you get some clarity.
Thank you everyone for the replies.
Just got off the phone with CIC. She said "if you have scheduled interview with Buffalo, just go".
Best of luck to everyone going there, and to us too!

Just got an email from Buffalo and they cancelled our interview after all. We had booked the whole trip flights and hotels from Westcoast. Very costly cancellation for us. But guess we can not get the refund from Buffalo!!?
Here's their mail without apology:
Dear Madam / Sir,
This letter/email refers to the interview for your permanent residence file that our office scheduled on (DATE).
Your interview has been cancelled. The Buffalo immigration section is now closed, and will no longer be processing your file. Once your file is transferred to another office, that office will contact you with a new interview date.
You will receive notification by mail or email advising you of the date and time of the interview well in advance of the interview date. In the meantime, if there is any change in your address or in your family composition, inform us as soon as possible.
At this time, you are not requested to provide any additional documents.
Nothing yet. I will post it when we get something from who-knows-where as soon as possible. When was your interview supposed to be? If one requires a visa to enter Canada, his/her file won't go to Ottawa I think. The file and interview would stay in the States.
Ours was on June.19. Today I received E-tracker that says nothing. It says new information is available but when we logged on, it says schedule for June.19. What does it mean?
Hey AW2011,
Our interview was supposed to be in the end of July. Same situation, flights booked and everything.
I know for sure that all the files have been sent to Ottawa.
Can't imagine what they are going to do next. If we hear anything we'll post too.
They haven't updated the online CAS.

Our Ecas is the same. Sure they wouldn't bother to update it now. Will mostly like get an email and/or letter from the new office where your file ends up. We got the cancellation email, then letter in the mail last week. Hopefully we'll hear from them very soon. Please keep each other posted.
