Yes I did. I got my gcms notes 7 days before my interview.
In gcms notes the date of the interview was mentioned nothing else related to why interview required.

What I understand CIC again started the same procedure. They will conduct interviews to make a final decision.

CHC = Canadian High Commission

There is no difference in Embassy and High Commission other than , Countries who are member of commonwealth organization - (Organization of countries who were ruled by British Crown) have "High Commissions" in member countries.

UAE was never ruled by the Britian , so they have Embassy Of Canada in Abu Dhabi , and have sub offices Consulates

I hope difference is clear now
