Interveiw Waived

Hi Guys

I have received email from CIC Sydney stating following

Dear XXX XXXXXX,

Initial assessment of your application has been completed and your selection interview has been waived. You are not being asked to attend an interview at this time. However, until our office completes the processing of your application you may still be required to attend an interview for the purpose of ensuring that you are admissible to Canada.

In order to finalise your application, a visa officer has requested that you submit the documents marked below (with an “X”):

Please note that all documents, unless in English or French, must be accompanied by an official translation in English or French.


(X)Police Clearance Certificate/s for: NEW ZEALAND per the enclosed instructions. Note: Original police clearance certificates have a limited validity. You may have previously provided one of the certificates requested above, however you must now comply with the update request and provide a new certificate for your file. This requirement cannot be waived



Does It mean interveiw is waived ? or they can take it

Please advise me ppl i am very scared

they are saying that they don't think you'll need an interview but might if you have something that shows up on your New Zealand police report. If you haven't done anything illegal you're probably in the clear.

Try not to panic, this can be sorted out. The good news is that they were pretty swift to get to this point, congrats!

Did you send the letter to NZ police, authorizing them to release info to CIC, when you submitted your app? And would you please mind sharing what the "enclosed instructions" are?

Hang in there, it'll be OK, all good news so far....

They are saying that you probably won't need to attend an interview but they reserve the right to ask you for one if they decide it needs to be done later on.

They are are also asking for a new copy of your NZ police certificate.

Thanks for you all information .

Lynn they attached this pdf file with it which is a form that we need to send it to NZ POLICE headquaters and they will send certificate .I called these ppl in NZ just now they told me to fax this form and they will post to CIC tom (certificate)

If you need these numbers than let me know .
