International student Spouse open work permit and Child visa requirements

I am an international student in Canada and want to apply for my spouse's open work permit. I have a 4 year and school going kid. Actually I need a help regarding in which visa catagory should a apply for my child Visitor or Student?
and whether medical test for minor child is required or not ?

1. Minor children of foreign students don't require study permits. 4 year olds attend Junior kindergarten, usually half days.
2. Yes, the child would require a medical, assuming s/he is from a scheduled country.

I am also in kind of same situation. My wife is in Canada on student visa, and i am trying to apply for SOWP for me and visitor visa for my 3 year old daughter. Are you applying yourself or hiring any agent.

I am in a similar situation, just that its already been over three months since I made my application and I have not received any response. I did submit a web form but they said they are processing. Dont know when I would get a response.

Have you applied through agent or still looking.

You should apple for SOWP not TRV for a spouse. Visas/permits aren’t guaranteed for families of international students so getting approved is the first step. No need for a consultant if you feel comfortable reading through the instructions and forms yourself.

Asking for cousin she was recently got her study visa approved for only one year course and she wanna apply for her huband and 3 yr old kid can anyone please guide how to apply what is the checklist and documents need please anyone guide for financials and all.
