Interested in Canadian PR

Dear Members,

Hope everyone is doing well. Wanted your kind advice and opinion on the situation below.

I have received my Australian PR and planning to move there in few months. But all along I have always been interested in Canada instead. I have applied for Australia as I have few good friends over there but didn't knew anyone in Canada. But the more I read about Canada, the more I'm getting inclined towards getting Canadian PR as it seems like a better option in terms of ease in bringing my parents permanently in future (Major reason), kids education/job in US, easy access to other european nations.

Can I and my wife apply for Canadian PR while we reside in Australia holding an Australian PR?
