I got a question:
those of us who have got Insurance Surveying / Loss Adjusting licences from our governments, do we still have to obtain an insurance industry relevant qualification before applying?
Yes. Even when you are qualified to work in a specific area, this does not mean that you did actually work in this area. Therefore you have to supply proof of having actually worked in the NOC-relevant area for at least one year within the past 10yrs.

I get that, my question was a little different, sorry for not being clear.
The NOC1233/1312 requirement says that a person must have industry qualifications (education). I am a qualified chartered accountant but don't have a insurance related degree. I am fully licensed and have got work experience certificates from the major insurance companies here. Would that be enough for immigration purposes or do i have to complete some CII Diploma or something before applying.
I do plan to complete CIP as soon as i get to Canada (God Willing) but was just a little confused with the requirements. Hope my question is more clear now.
Check the OP Manuals for work experience. Usually, they look at what you did - if this matches the main criteria of your NOC, you will be fine:
"not take into account whether the applicant meets the “Employment requirements” description set forth in the NOC for the occupation(s) listed (R80(3));"
