CONGRATULATIONS!
no updates for mine yet via email or ecas, and GCKey seems to be down right now? I hope it’s down because lots of people are all getting simultaneous good news and the servers have overloaded
Never mind it is down for me too now

At least it’s not just me! Maybe they’re trying to get everyone updates before the long weekend starts! I hope there’s one waiting for me when it comes back up. As of yesterday my BGC hadn’t started yet.

When you think about it, I received the AIP letter today but the letter is dated April 26... maybe there was a massive release of communication today and everybody is loggin in now to see the update..
I hope you get some movement on your application soon too! The wait game is long and painful. The good news is that it seems apps are being moved from the MTL office! Where about are you located? I’m in oakville and therefore my app is in Hamilton.

But the SA letter says the same date as date received. So I think you passed eligibility but they don't officially give AIP to you until you're done the BGC which for us happened after they started reviewing eligibility rather than before review of eligibility for applicants from other months. What that probably also means is that once our status does change to "We are processing your background check" then we probably passed eligibility

I’m in BC, so even after my file gets updated I’ll be in for more of a wait, haha. Currently people here are waiting 2+ months for their landing interview letters (that’s wait time from approval to just *getting notice* for the appointment — it’s weeks/months more waiting from there to actually *having* the meeting and finally landing). But any progress helps!
I haven't heard anything since sponsor approval in February. No medical request and they haven't started my background check. I'm feeling pretty low about it. I got Officer JC04432 in Montreal too.
The saddest part for me is I first applied in February 2018, and they screwed it up and returned it at the end of April (the forms they said were missing were in the returned packet). The requirements changed in this time, so I got the new forms and I resubmitted in June, only to get clogged up in Montreal. It feels so unjust!!
Please join me in emailing
Ahmed.Hussen@parl.gc.ca about this issue. With enough people, we can make him notice this very unfair issue with the Montreal backlog.

Most applications are now moving to local offices, seems that mine moved to Hamilton office recently. I think it just put all of us behind compared to other applicants who didn’t have their files in Montreal. Hopefully we all get our PR soon.
Do you think calling or emailing has any positive impact?
Do you think calling or emailing has any positive impact?
I don’t think it has any impact, the agents you speak with don’t touch your application but they do have visibility to let you know where it’s at. That’s only if you are lucky enough to get an agent ok the phone who cares and is nice enough to help out.
December inland applicants are already getting landing appointments
This is very annoying. The government needs to better distribute workload and ensure a more consistent timeline across locations. Please complain to your MP / Minister of Immigration when you have a chance. We can be heard if we all contribute and form a large voice.
December inland applicants are already getting landing appointments
There is no logic with the timelines. Some June applicants still waiting and some January 2019 already landed, go figure.
Landed today. App processed at Montreal hub and am from Toronto.
